Jazzed Up Rattery Pet Contract (The Just Of it)
Please note this is Not our full contract but just the most important terms
1. The adopter agrees to take excellent care. This includes cage cleaning, proper diet, clean water, bathing, and playtime. The adopter also agrees to always keep his/her rats in same sex pairs, meaning No Breeding!
2. The adopter agrees that the rat(s) are pet only and should not be bred.
3. The adopter will never use the rat(s) as a food source for another pet. Nor will they release them into the wild.
4. The adopter has researched rat care, has purchased necessary supplies, and is ready to take on the responsibility of being a rat owner.
5. The adopter agrees to provide updates on the rat(s) temperament, health, and death (for record keeping). Any photos are welcomed as well!
6. The rats being sold are in good health. The adopter has examined the rats to make sure they are healthy. Jazzed Up Rattery is not liable for any vet bills or health issues once the rat(s) leave.
8. The adopter understand that if for any reason it is found out rats from Jazzed Up Rattery are being mistreated, Jazzed Up Rattery can reposes the rats (rats bred at the rattery, rescue rats, retired breeders..etc.).
9. The adopter will spoil their new rat(s) rotten!
Jazzed Up Rattery Breeder Contract
1. The adopter/breeder agrees to take excellent care of their new pet. This includes cage cleaning, proper diet, clean water, bathing, and playtime. The adopter also agrees to always keep his/her rats in same sex pairs.
2. The adopter/breeder agrees that the rat(s) will be carefully bred to healthy rats and never bred carelessly.
3. The rat(s) will NEVER be used as stock for feeder breeding. The adopter will never use the rat(s) as a food source for another pet. Nor will they release them into the wild.
4. The breeder (JUR) will have first pick of any first generation litters if desired.
5. The adopter/breeder knows about genetics and will never breed rats that are knowingly sick or carry genetic disorders.
6. The adopter/breeder will place all offspring in pet only homes and never sell them off as food.
7. The adopter/breeder will not breed females more than 3 times in her life time and will never breed her past the age of 15 months. The female must have at least 2 months in between litters to rest. Retired breeders will NOT be sold for food and must enter pet only homes if adopter/breeder cannot keep them.
8. The adopter realizes that a rat cannot be returned for a full refund after seven days from adoption. Rats may be returned after this point, but not for a refund.
9. The adopter agrees to provide updates on the rat(s) temperament, health, and death (for record keeping), and agrees to return them if they can no longer be kept. Any photos are welcomed as well!
